About ReviewPlace

A review site built on the assumption that readers are not stupid.

What we cover

ReviewPlace collects reviews across five areas that most sites keep artificially separate: places you go, websites you buy from, travel you book, living arrangements you sign for, and products you own. The same person who can tell you whether a restaurant is worth the wait can also tell you whether the hotel down the road oversells its view.

How we try to keep it honest

Points, badges and titles

Writing a good review takes real effort, so we make that effort visible. Points accumulate into titles that appear under your name, and badges mark specific milestones — first review, first photo, first city you covered. It is a small thing, but it rewards the behaviour that makes the site worth reading. The full breakdown is on the badges page.

Cities

Local reviews work best when they are actually local, so every city we cover gets its own subdomain — pittsburgh.reviewplace.com, tampa.reviewplace.com, london.reviewplace.com — with its own listings, its own recent activity and its own leaderboard. See the full list, and tell us if yours is missing.
